Why You Need a Personal Blog#
On March 1, 2025, there is still more than a year until graduation. Looking back on my three years of university experience, I have witnessed various people and events, and I hope to delve into some valuable knowledge in the last year while expressing these gains through a personal blog.
In fact, I have longed to have my own blog since high school. However, it has been over four years since I first created a blog, and each attempt has not lasted long, often resulting in data loss. This time, I chose to build my personal blog on the xLog platform based on blockchain technology to ensure the security and permanence of my data.
What is xLog?#
xLog is an open-source blogging platform that uses blockchain technology to store data. Users can publish, comment on, and like articles on the platform, as well as customize their domain name, navigation bar, and style. xLog offers rich interactive features, with each blog being a user's NFT, and configurations and articles stored within the NFT. Additionally, the platform supports one-click publishing of content to IPFS/Arweave for permanent storage, ensuring data security and resistance to platform shutdown risks.
The Link Between Obsidian and xLog#
To link Obsidian with xLog, I used the sync to xlog plugin. By configuring the xLog Token value in the plugin, I can easily upload and update my notes to the blog.
